The Bureau’s Barn is a high quality equestrian facility that provides personalized training programs for both riders as well as their equine counterparts. Our one of a kind specialized training plans for each horse and rider pair individually are a new and innovative approach to this industry. Whether students are participating in the helping hooves sessions, group or private competitive coaching or taking additional lessons with one of our other specialized coaches, we collectively approach the learning process as a unit. Every coach and horse here plays a large part in what makes up a fun, fountain of information to form a solid foundation for our students. Lessons are available to anyone between the ages of 7 to 70+ years of age, we have a variety of trusted school horses for all levels and sizes of riders. We have spacious stalls, a private pasture available for day & overnight ship-ins. Horse owners looking to gain confidence, brush up on skills or trouble shoot problems occuring at home are always welcomed here.
We are happy to accommodate a new student, child, or adult, whether they are riding for the first time or are an experienced rider wanting to compete and improve their skills.
Freelance coaching is also available on your property.
The Bureau’s Barn has created a place to host a positive experiance for both the students and horses. Together we strive to promote safety, fun and good sportsmanship.
Lessons are currently being held in a large outdoor arena. We also have outdoor areas to groom/ tack up & 3 sets of crossties in the barn.
Students in our programs can lease a school horse, have the opportunity to compete in on and off property local shows. Lessons are an hour long, they can be booked 5 days a week, morning, afternoons or evening.
Riders are required to wear:
Boots with a heel
Long form fitting pants
Each rider needs an approved helmet. We can provide a helmet for beginner students until one is purchased if they wish to continue riding.
We offer private Lessons & Semi-Private lessons.

Friendly Fall Reminder 🍂
Dear patrons, due to the growing number of new clients on our roster & waiting list I feel like it’s time to publicly address our company policies again. I hope that this will reduce any confusion going forward, as for our long standing clients these policies were introduced in April & nothing has changed since so please disregard.
If a lesson is canceled by my self or one of our specialized coaches due to unforeseen circumstances or the weather – your lesson is either rescheduled OR an equally fun & educational in barn session is offered to accommodate.
We understand that you have signed your children up for “horseback riding lessons”. In all fairness & contrary to popular belief for us to only teach lessons pertaining to sitting on a horses back is unethical in my opinion. Being an equestrian entails far more than simply riding a horse. As equestrians it is our job to also take an interest in equine anatomy, physical mechanics, psychology, first aid, nutrition, emotional regulation, mindfulness, ground work, bonding exercises, hoof care, preventative maintenance, human & equine fitness, equipment use and care etc etc I could literally go on for days.
I’ve said this publicly before and I will say it again if you are not prepared to learn these things or to support your child through this learning journey as a whole I strongly recommend choosing a different sport. Horses are the highest vibrational beings here on earth, not tools or machines to be used and disposed of when they no longer suit our needs.
I’ve made it my life’s purpose to teach a holistic approach to horsemanship, our business has been designed to facilitate opportunities to grow a happier & healthier generation of school horses just as much as their riders.
If a lesson is canceled by the client for whatever reason or if an in barn lesson offer is declined by the parent or student & you do not show up for your scheduled time slot – you are billed for that time & I will NOT be rescheduling your session. We carry on with the package the exact same as if you had shown up. My time is valuable, I know my worth & that is not negotiable.
If you are contemplating opting out of the program for the winter months because there is a higher chance of your child participating in an in barn session vs physically riding the horse that is normal and it is fine by us. That being said come spring time, the students who braved the cold & completed the in barn theory sessions will keep their priority spots. With the amount of interest in our program we do not guarantee to have an available time slot for you to return come spring.
When you sign up for our programs offered here at The Bureau’s Barn, you are paying for a spot in our riding school for the month, not for each lesson individually. This is very much the same as any other extra curricular activities such as soccer, dance, hockey, gymnastics, martial arts etc. Where most of the time you pay for an entire season up front- not just a month at a time.
This policy is in place because it’s simply not fair to our future clients stuck on the waiting list & it’s not financially logical to hold a spot for a customer who isn’t paying for that spot. If I’m expected to keep this business open for our patrons to enjoy, I expect our patrons to understand that their payment is what keeps the riding school open.
To the parents who have supported us & our business model with unwavering faith since we opened, we see you & we appreciate you!!🥰🥰
On a closing note because it seems I have written yet another novel LOL here is something to chew on for horse owners & students alike..
